Our next key leader is responsible for Women in the Blockchain community as a Japanese specialist, which is founded in New York and collaborates with blockchain women to enforce the region co-working.
Introduction about yourself and your company?
Hey, Guys. I'm Lilith Li. I'm so honored to be here to share my perspective with you. I'm from China and has lived in Japan for 1o years. I've taken the Master at Musashino University in Japan. Also, I've studied at the University of Kent in the UK, and the University of Victoria in Canada. I'm excited to have a multiple study environment so that I can jump into the blockchain industry.
I'm working for ZILLA, which is a Singapore-based blockchain project, founded in 2017. It provides the promotion service for global blockchain events, including listing service on ZILLA event platform, event spotlight article in English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean, and so on. Meanwhile, ZILLA provides multiple marketing tools for projects, media, exchanges, etc.
How are you and your business in this time of crisis?
It's a tough time for everyone who works in the blockchain industry, especially for events organizers. ZILLA got a lot of cancellation of the events from most of them. Hence, ZILLA had to stop all promotion activities we already planed. Luckily, we also have online style, such as the webinar, AMA, Live interview, podcast, etc. When people all go online service, it works than I expected.
Besides, Thessy Mehrain, the founder of Women in Blockchain, has joined podcast with The Block Party on Youtube ( https://youtu.be/yBtRubfxFzg ) for discussing how we can overcome the tough situation.
What do you think will happen after all quarantine period will be lifted?
I guess whatever which industry you're working with, it would be an overwhelmed rebound when the pandemic past. It would recover fast because of the lockdown for a long time.
What are the things you’re doing this lock-down period?
I'm working hard even in this lockdown period ( actually, Japan is not entirely lockdown as you can check the Japanese news, but I nearly stick at home for safety.)
For Japanese service: I help blockchain companies for building social media content, promotion article, daily report, and even for banner making, ( I didn't know I could do it. ), etc.
For Chinese service: I also help translation, proofreading, UI amendment, community management, article post, etc. I keep myself reading English articles 30mins every day as well for improving my language usage.
I learn about the knowledge about margin trade and try to test it for the first time.
What are some lessons you’ve learned during this pandemic?
The most important thing I learnt is how to survive in a tough situation, whatever for life and career.
What are the things you’re grateful for?
I want to thank my family first. Because they support me so much even they're in China. I was in Harbin when the Covid-19 occurred in Wuhan. I genuinely feel sad when I had to go back to Tokyo and left them alone.
For now, the Tokyo lockdown has been implemented around one month and would be longer until 31st May. It's a chance to make the relationship stronger with family, especially in the public health crisis.
Can you please share some stories of what you’re doing during ECQ?
Regarding the ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine), I think it's an efficient way to help people in the country. We can learn from the Chinese style quarantine as a study case. The government conducted stringent measures for controlling people's activities so that they could recover the economy speedily and rapidly.
We can use the ECQ period for studying something new.
I'm quite interested in margin trading in these days. Otherwise, I found many margin exchanges and register for the demo trading.
Can you give some advice to other people and businesses out there during this pandemic?
I want to recommend that online business, such as language service, Online campaign Planning, AMA Live interview, etc.
Do you agree that Blockchain can help sustain the economy?
Yes. For instance, during the pandemic, we could easily see the cryptocurrency investment is stable and risky. 'Stable' for the 24/7 global service, it means you can use it anytime anyway anywhere you want. (such as me, escape from China to Japan.)
'Risky' for the price vulnerability, it means you can make it benefits and loss.
All these issues we call 'challenge' and 'opportunity'.
Blockchain can help people to open new business model online and serve global. It definitely can help to sustain the economy, not only currency but also cryptocurrency.
