The TUM Blockchain Conference: Fostering Europe's Blockchain Ecosystem

On September 22 and 23, the TUM Blockchain Conference will take place at the Deutsches Museum in Munich. This conference pursues two ambitious goals: education about blockchain technology and regulation, as well as creating a platform for exchange between the academic and industrial worlds. The event is organized by the TUM Blockchain Club (TBC), a non-profit student organization at the Technical University of Munich.

The need for the conference

In the United States, there is already an active student community that pursues educational goals and significantly contributes to the advancement of blockchain technology. In the realm of blockchain, it's not just about being well-informed but also actively participating. Only in this way can the principle of decentralization be fully realized.

In Europe, on the other hand, we observe that educational offerings are still scarce, and the community seems less accessible. The TUM Blockchain Conference aims to overcome this disparity and establish an independent educational platform around the technology

The TUM Blockchain Conference Vision.

The conference has a clear vision:

Blockchain Education: The TUM Blockchain Conference aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology, catering to both beginners and experts.

Diverse Perspectives: In addition to blockchain technology, we also shed light on its regulation and the ecosystem. We strive to provide a platform for all established opinions.

Industry Leaders and Academics: Prominent speakers from industry and academia will share their knowledge on current blockchain topics in over 50 talks, panels, and workshops.

Conference Structure

During the two-day event, participants will gain a comprehensive insight into the blockchain universe on three stages and a workshop area. This includes fundamental concepts, blockchain regulations, as well as the latest research findings and developments. In addition to 50+ talks and panels, we have also prepared three focus tracks:

Blockchain101 Track: Fundamental concepts of blockchain, from distributed ledger technology and smart contracts to data privacy and rollups.

Regulation Track: Basics of regulation, including in-depth discussions on MiCAR, AML, DAO, forensics, and taxes.

Cutting-Edge Track: Insights into some of the latest research topics in the blockchain field.
